Dear Cunniff Families,

It's been really great to have a full week of school! I'm hopeful that the snowiest days are behind us, and we can start to enjoy some consistently warmer weather and outdoor recess.

March is here, which means we have a packed schedule straight through the end of the school year (still months away, but certainly on the horizon). Last weekend, I was re-listening to the podcast Sold A Story. One of the pieces that always stands out to me about the research presented there is the importance of attendance and the impact it has on students' ability to read. I encourage you to check in with your child's teacher at our upcoming conferences about your child's attendance (including tardy arrivals to school!). The more consistently students are present for school, the more learning takes place.

You have already heard from your child's teacher about setting up a conference during one of our four conference dates in March - I strongly encourage you to make this a priority so that you can connect with your child's teacher about their progress.
