School News and Updates

Fall conferences are coming up soon, and we’re looking forward to sharing your child’s growth and experiences so far this year. Conferences are a great opportunity to strengthen the home-school connection.

Here are a few tips to help you prepare:
  • Think about any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s development, learning, or classroom experience.
  • Let us know if there’s anything specific you’d like to discuss.

Conference Dates: October 22nd, 23rd, 30th, and 31st
Reminder: October 23rd and 31st are early release days, with dismissal at 11:45AM and 12:00PM.

We value your partnership and look forward to connecting with you!

Open Enrollment - Preschool

Please share the news!

We’re excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the Preschool Program at Early Steps!

If you know a family seeking a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow, please share our program with them. We’d love to welcome them into the Early Steps family!

Children must be at least three years old to register. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait to get in touch.

Plus, all enrolled Preschool students are guaranteed a spot in our PreK program the following year, and younger siblings have the option to register as well.

For more information on enrollment, please contact us at tricia.damelio@watertown.k12.ma.us or visit our website watertown.k12.ma.us.

CORI

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, we are required to have updated CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) forms on file for any family member who wishes to volunteer in the school, chaperone field trips, or participate in school-related activities involving students.

If you plan to be involved in any of these capacities this year or in the future, please complete and return a CORI form as soon as possible. A valid government-issued photo ID must be presented when submitting the form.

You can obtain the CORI form from the main office.

All CORI checks are conducted in strict confidence and are valid for three years from the date of approval.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our school community safe and supportive.

Holiday Cheer Program

As the holiday season approaches, we understand that this time of year can be both joyful and challenging for many. Our community is here to support families who may need a little extra help during the holidays.

If your family could benefit from assistance with a Thanksgiving meal, winter holiday gifts, or both, please don’t hesitate to reach out. All requests will be handled with care and kept strictly confidential.

To request support or to learn more, please contact our school social worker, Ms. Roche, or fill out the linked confidential form.

Wishing everyone a season of warmth and kindness.
