PreK Fun Run!
Dear Cunniff Families,

We have jumped right back into our routines following April break - it has been so great to be back with our students! To top it all off, we had an AMAZING Fun Run today!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to volunteer and to support our students as they ran. It was an awesome day! Our fundraising window is still open - please see below!

Next week, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the Math MCAS on Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is taking place next week. We are so incredibly proud of our teachers - feel free to show them some love!

Watertown All-City Band Performance
The All-City Band (an afterschool group from Cunniff, Hosmer, and Lowell) will be performing their concert with the HS Band on Thursday, May 8th. The call time for students is 6:15pm and the concert starts at 7pm. We hope to see you there!
 

Fun Run Fundraiser Still Open!

Fun Run Fundraising Is Still Open!!

We had SUCH a blast at our Fun Run today! Thank you so much to the Cunniff PTO and Coach T for making this event so awesome, and thank you to all the family members who came out to cheer us on!

The Fun Run is our largest fundraiser of the school year with proceeds used to fund all field trips in full in addition to covering Field Day costs, social events, extra classroom snacks, teacher reimbursement, and more! The fundraising window is open until next Friday, May 9!

You can register or log back into your account at GETMOVINFUNDHUB.COM and use our school identifier code 5d31d6a476e95 to sync up with the fundraiser. If you have multiple children attending the Cunniff, you can make a family profile so donations are automatically split between two or more students. 



Our fundraising prizes:
$3,000- A visit from Courage & Raider at the Fun Run
$6,000- Pajama day
$9,000- Ice pops at lunch
$12,000- Double recess
$15,000- Movie/show on the big screen at lunch
$18,000- A mystery staff member will get a pie to the face!
$20,000- Ms. MacEwan will dye her hair pink!

New student registration for the 2025-2026 K-5 Before School & PreK -5 Extended Day Programs opens on May 1st!

Our next Cool Cougar Friday is Friday, May 9 -- whole-shool dance party!
 

The Bookmobile is Back!

The Watertown Free Public Library Bookmobile returns to Cunniff on March 21st!
All community members are encouraged to visit the bookmobile during school dismissal and pick up some great reads for the whole family. 
Dates (updated):
May 16

Time: 2:30 pm to 4:30pm
Location: On Warren St. outside of Cunniff

When you visit the bookmobile, you can:

  • Get a new library card or renew your old one;
  • Check out, renew, and return materials for kids, teens, and adults;
  • Talk to a librarian about reading recommendations and programs offered at the Library

K & Pre-K Families: Please Mark Your Calendars!

On Friday, June 6, we will be holding our Kindergarten screenings for our rising Kindergarteners. In order for our Kindergarten teachers to run these screenings, there is no Kindergarten on this day. Also, because Pre-K students will be participating in screenings, there is no Pre-K on this day.

No school for Pre-K and K on Friday, June 6!

Volunteer in May with Watertown Helps Out (WHO)!


The Watertown Community Foundations annual Watertown Helps Out (WHO) is a
month-long community service event in May that connects local non-profits to
community volunteers for a variety of projects. Community projects are spread across
the month of May, currently totaling a need for 300+ volunteers.
- Many of the opportunities are family-friendly.
- WPS High schoolers can get community service hours.
- Keep checking back to see what's been added to the list.

Support Children in Need

The Department of Children and Families is seeking to keep Watertown children in their
schools and communities. In order to accomplish this, DCF is looking for Watertown parents
who would consider opening their homes and hearts to a student in need of short-term
care.

heart to a student in need.
